Fotomaraton returns after a few year break. The event will take place on the night of the arts of Helsinki on August 18 from 17:00 to 23:00. Fotomaraton is a photo competition organized by Ylioppilaskamerat ry. The competition has 3 separate series: digital class, film class and Instagram class. Participants photograph 12 subjects during the competition. The topics will be published throughout the evening in three installments. The topics will be published on this page, on YOK’s website and on the Instagram account at 5, 7 and 9 p.m. The photos must be returned to the competition office by 23:00. We will put up a outside stand at Leppäsuonkatu 11, 00101 Helsinki.
The main prizes are
- 100€ gift card to jaskamerakauppa.fi in the digital class
- 100€ gift card to kamerastore.fi in the film class
You don’t need to register for the digital series in advance. It is sufficient that the photos are returned to the competition stand by the deadline. The participation fee must be paid at the same time.
The participant in the film series will be given a roll of film (adox apx 400) with 12 frames before the start of the competition. The film roll is developed and scanned by the association. The participation fee covers film, development and scanning. You can pick your roll of film at our Mondays office hours. Check when office hours are held at ylioppilaskamerat.fi.
You can find more information about participation on the rules page.
